Level 2

What real world connections are you considering?
Using internet and travel agent catologes and having the children share their experiences about visiting particular places which makes it real as we all live in Victoria which is part of Australia. Talk about my own experiences show photos etc. Civics and citzenship and being part of Australia mapping and and idea of where we are and where we live.

What would be the role of the students?
Active participants and guiding the learning, questions they pose will be addressed and get an understanding of prior learning. They are also responsible for peer assessment of the State presentation by other students.

What project scenario are you considering?
Each week students will learn and discover about all states and territories in Australia (see big question). Then at the completion of the topic i will have all the students to all have a state and find out information in relation to the state and present in poster form and verbally about something they learnt and something they liked about the project. Have the other students assessing their peers in the presentation.
